Cookie Policy

Our cookie policy and how we use them

Last Updated: October 3, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Kaoohi ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar storage when you visit our website and use our services — and, just as importantly, what we do not use.

Strictly necessary cookies keep the service working and need no consent. Everything that is not strictly necessary — analytics, advertising, any cross-site tracking — is off by default. You do not need to accept anything to browse this site.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites work efficiently and provide information to website owners.

Cookies can be "persistent" or "session" cookies:

  • Session Cookies: Temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser
  • Persistent Cookies: Cookies that remain on your device until they expire or you delete them

3. What This Website Actually Sets

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the operation of our services (authentication, security, and accessibility). They cannot be switched off, and none of them is used to track you across sites.

Cookie NamePurposeDuration
sb-*-auth-tokenKeeps you signed in (set by our authentication provider, Supabase, only after you sign in)Session
NEXT_LOCALERemembers the language you picked, so the site stays in that language1 year

3.2 Local Storage

We store your dark/light mode preference in your browser's local storage (key theme). Local storage is not a cookie and is never sent to us with requests; clearing it returns the site to the default appearance.

3.3 Analytics and Advertising: None

We do not run Google Analytics, a tag manager, an advertising pixel, or any other non-essential tracker on this website. No cookie is set to measure your browsing, and nothing follows you to other sites.

This is also our rule for the future: if we add measurement, nothing non-essential will load or run without your explicit consent, and page views will be counted without cookies.

4. Third-Party Content

4.1 Demo Booking (Cal.com)

Our demo page can embed Cal.com's booking widget so you can pick a time for a call. The widget is loaded only when you visit the demo page and only when booking is enabled. When you interact with it, Cal.com may set its own cookies for the booking session, under Cal.com's privacy policy. If you prefer not to load it, use our contact form instead — it sends nothing to any third party.

4.2 Services Behind the Scenes

Some services process data for us as processors rather than setting cookies on our pages:

  • Supabase: authentication and database infrastructure — Privacy Policy
  • Stripe: payment processing, on Stripe's own pages during checkout — Privacy Policy

5. How to Control Cookies

5.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:

  • View which cookies are stored and delete them individually
  • Block third-party cookies
  • Block all cookies from specific websites
  • Block all cookies from being set
  • Delete all cookies when you close your browser

Because the cookies we set are strictly necessary, blocking them affects signing in and your language choice, not your ability to browse the site.

5.2 Browser-Specific Instructions

For instructions on how to manage cookies in specific browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Cookies and site data

6. Cookies for Integrations

When you connect third-party services to your Kaoohi account (such as Google Calendar, LinkedIn, or WhatsApp), those services may set their own cookies. These integrations are subject to the privacy policies and cookie policies of those third-party services.

Connected services include:

  • Google services (Calendar, Gmail, Drive)
  • LinkedIn
  • WhatsApp Business
  • Other productivity tools you choose to integrate

7. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers incorporate a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals websites you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked.

Currently, there is no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. At this time, our Services do not respond to DNT browser settings or signals. We will continue to monitor developments around DNT browser technology and implementation of standards.

8. Cookies and Personal Data

Some cookies we use may collect and process personal data. In such cases, we comply with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

For more information about how we handle personal data, please review our Privacy Policy.

9. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors.

When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
  • Notify you through our Services or via email
  • Request your consent again if required by law

We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.
